Questions before you start
Basics
Do I trade my own money?
No. You pay a one-time fee for the evaluation. Every Sterling Pips account is a simulated (demo) account, so your own capital is never traded.
Who runs the challenges?
The programs are operated by FX-EDGE V Ltd, which provides the trading environment, risk systems and accounts. Sterling Pips is the commercial brand and the team that supports you.
Which platform do I trade on?
Match-Trader, in your browser and on the mobile app.
Is Sterling Pips a broker or an investment firm?
No. We don't provide investment services, brokerage, portfolio management or investment advice. We offer trading evaluations on simulated accounts.
How old do I need to be?
At least 18, or older if your local law requires it.
Rules and limits
What happens if I break a limit?
The account ends automatically. To start again you buy a new challenge.
Is there a deadline to pass?
An account with no trades for 30 calendar days closes automatically. Check the Terms for any other time limit on your challenge.
Can I trade the news?
Orders placed within 5 minutes before or after covered events aren't allowed: macroeconomic releases, central-bank announcements, geopolitical and similar events. A position opened before the window and closed after it isn't a breach.
Can I use bots or expert advisers?
Automation isn't banned outright. Software, AI tools or ready-made strategies used to manipulate, get around the rules or gain an unfair advantage are. Ask support about a specific tool.
Can I join from my country?
Eligibility depends on citizenship, residence, current location, sanctions checks and local law. Check the restricted countries list before you buy. A country not on the list isn't automatically approved.
Payouts
How do I receive a payout?
You request it from your dashboard. Our payment partner pays you by a fiat or crypto method available to you. Provider fees and taxes are yours.
How often can I request a payout?
The next withdrawal interval is 5 days, with up to 5 payouts per funded account. Every payout also has to pass the checks on our payouts page.
Do I need to verify my identity?
Yes. An ID check is required before any payout, and checks can happen at any stage. You may be asked for ID and proof of address.
Your account
Can I get a refund?
Fees are generally non-refundable once your account access has been granted, except where consumer protection law requires a refund.
What are add-ons?
Optional extras you can add when you buy, such as a higher reward split. Each one raises the fee. Availability is subject to final approval.
